ROOTED IS our theme for 2024-2025 school year
In Jeremiah chapter 17, God speaks through the prophet Jeremiah, declaring that those who turn away from Him to pursue idols, rely on human strength, and seek help from others are like shrubs in the desert. Such individuals will not see prosperity and will experience a cursed life due to their choices.
However, in verses 7-8, in contract, he shifts his metaphor to those who trust in the Lord:
“Blessed is the man who trusts in the Lord, whose trust is the Lord. He is like a tree planted by water, that sends out its roots by the stream, and does not fear when heat comes, for its leaves remain green, and is not anxious in the year of drought, for it does not cease to bear fruit.” -Jeremiah 17:7-8
As we embark on this year of Christ-centered education at Faith Christian School, we remain committed to our mission of lovingly training students to be disciples of Jesus Christ for a life of influence. Our prayer for this year is that our students will grow deep roots in their faith, placing their trust in God rather than the world, their desires, or their peers. We ask that the Holy Spirit continually transform them, allowing them to flourish as strong, healthy individuals firmly rooted in Christ.
