Faith Christian School is thrilled to unveil our inaugural international mission trip, slated for January 2025, in collaboration with Mission Emanuel. Both our Spanish teacher, Mrs. Tartaglia, and our Head of School, Mr. Popejoy, bring invaluable experience from previous trips with Mission Emanuel, amplifying our excitement for this life-changing opportunity for our older secondary students and their families.
Mission Emanuel is a cross-cultural, relational, Christian ministry that strives to promote discipleship through short-term mission trips focused on community transformation. This trip offers an incredible opportunity for our students to work with Mission Emanuel in building homes for Dominican families and sharing with the children and the community of Cielo. We are excited to announce that 28 people will be participating, including 17 FCS students and their family members. This trip is open to FCS high school students, their families, FCS staff, and alumni.
Our hope for this trip is to deepen our relationship with God and with each other, while opening our hearts to serve alongside our Dominican friends. We believe God calls us to serve Him and each other by working together, sharing in both the burdens and joys of life. Our team will travel to the Dominican Republic to work in and around the Cielo and Nazaret communities. While physical labor is part of the mission, the focus is on building relationships and spending meaningful time within the community. The days will be spent working and being with the people, while the evenings will be dedicated to sharing stories of the day. The physical work always seems to get done, but hearts are restored in the process.

Support Our Dominican Republic Mission Trip!
We’re excited to announce a delicious way to support our upcoming mission trip to the Dominican Republic! We will be selling cheese curds from Decatur Dairy, located in Broadhead, WI. Not only will you enjoy tasty, locally sourced cheese, but all funds raised will go directly towards supporting our mission efforts.
Cheese Curd Details:
- Flavors: Muenster, Cheddar, Dill, Herb and Garlic, and Ranch.
- Pricing: $7 for one 1 lb bag or three 1 lb bags for just $20!
- Order Deadline: Please email Jessica Viss by Friday, November 15th to place your order.
- Pick-Up: Cheese curds MUST be picked up from Faith Christian School on Thursday, November 21st, between 3:15 PM and 5 PM in the Commons.
