Dominican Republic 2025

Faith Christian School was overjoyed to embark on our first international mission trip on Friday, January 17 – Thursday, January 23, 2025, in partnership with Mission Emanuel. This landmark opportunity invited our older secondary students, their families, and alumni to participate in a transformative journey of faith and service.

Mission Emanuel, a Christ-centered and cross-cultural ministry, emphasizes discipleship through short-term mission trips that inspire community transformation. We had a team of 28 participants, including 18 FCS students and their families, who traveled to the Cielo and Nazaret communities in the Dominican Republic. Together, they served alongside our Dominican friends by building homes, engaging with children, and forming life-changing connections within the community. While the physical work was important, the heart of the mission focused on fostering relationships and sharing God’s love.

Below, you’ll find daily recaps and photos that highlight the moments and memories from this unforgettable experience. Continue reading to see how God worked through our students, families, and staff in the Dominican Republic.

Day 1 – Safely Arrived

After settling in, the team met with Nicole from Mission Emanuel, who shared an overview of the week and introduced them to the family for whom they would help build a home. The boys quickly joined locals in spirited soccer and basketball games, while the girls cheered enthusiastically. The group’s energy and unity were inspiring, and it was clear that God was already at work in their midst. READ MORE
