Building Connections

Building Connections Between Seniors and Kindergartners at FCS

At Faith Christian School, we treasure the connections between our oldest and youngest students. Our school deeply believes in discipleship—not only from our staff to our students but also among peers, as older students mentor and pour into the younger ones. It’s a vital part of who we are as Christians and reflects our walk in discipleship with Christ.

A beloved tradition that captures this beautifully is our Graduation Walk at the end of each school year. Dressed in their caps and gowns, seniors take their final walk through the school halls—but they don’t do it alone. Hand-in-hand with kindergartners, they symbolize one journey just beginning and another reaching its fulfillment.

This year, we’ve taken steps to make these connections even more meaningful. The seniors started by exchanging thoughtful notes with the kindergartners, followed by creating snowflakes together to decorate the kindergarten classroom. These moments are just the beginning, with more opportunities planned to continue building these special bonds throughout the year.

At FCS, this tradition is more than a walk; it’s an expression of love, leadership, and discipleship. As our seniors encourage and model Christ-like character for the youngest members of our school, they create bonds that make their time here unforgettable.
