Christmas Week Fun and Festivities at Faith Christian School
As Christmas break approaches, the excitement is building at Faith Christian School, and students in grades 6-12 are ready for some fun, creativity, and school spirit to round out 2024. These few weeks have been all about balancing a little bit of holiday cheer with hard work, as we prepare for the final chapters and tests before the well-deserved break.
Today, students are gathering in their designated classrooms to begin the much-anticipated holiday decorating contest. Each grade has a teacher overseeing the room’s transformation: 6th Grade with Mrs. Dages, 7th Grade with Mrs. Olsen, 8th Grade with Mrs. Turner, Freshmen with Mrs. Guthrie and Mr. Bensheimer, Sophomores with Mrs. Rolfs, Juniors with Mrs. Kramer, and Seniors with Mrs. Goralski. Students will spend the day brainstorming and decorating, provided they have brought the necessary supplies. Teachers will guide them, ensuring all decorations are approved to align with the contest rules.
The decorating contest comes with a few important guidelines: decorations must not interfere with class instruction and must be approved by the supervising teacher. All decorations should remain within the classroom, although the door can be decorated as long as it doesn’t create a mess. The rooms must be cleaned and all decorations removed by Friday, December 20th. Decorating will occur during club time on December 12th, 16th, and 17th. Judging will take place on Thursday, December 19th, during club time, with each elementary class having five minutes to judge each room. Mrs. Olsen will tally the votes, and the winning class, both middle and high school, will enjoy a pizza party lunch on Friday, December 20th. It’s sure to be a fun, festive competition!
Next Week is Spirit Week
In addition to the decorating contest, next week brings Spirit Week, where students can show off their holiday cheer through creative dress-up days. Here’s the rundown for next week:
