4K Classroom Adventure: The Hunt for the Gingerbread Man
Today was an exciting day for our 4K students—they went on a playful hunt to find the mischievous Gingerbread Man! Guided by hidden clues scattered all around the school, our young adventurers explored far and wide. Their journey took them into classrooms, drawers, and cabinets, even making a stop in Mr. Popjoy’s office for an important clue. At last, the final clue brought them right back to their own classroom, where they discovered the Gingerbread Man waiting for them!
This fun-filled adventure is just one example of the hands-on learning approach that makes our 4K program so special. At Faith Christian School, we believe that young children learn best through active, engaging experiences that spark their natural curiosity. Whether they’re working together on a scavenger hunt, exploring creative activities, or diving into imaginative play, our 4K students are constantly building critical thinking, problem-solving, and teamwork skills in a way that feels like pure fun.
Our 4K curriculum is designed to lay a strong foundation in early literacy, math, and social-emotional development, while also nurturing a love for learning. Teachers like Mrs. Pollard and Mrs. O’Neil bring creativity and energy to every activity, ensuring that lessons are not only educational but also memorable. We strive to honor each child’s God-given curiosity, guiding them to explore and discover in a Christ-centered environment.
As our website highlights, Faith Christian School is committed to “training students as disciples of Jesus Christ for a life of influence.” Even at the 4K level, these playful yet purposeful moments help instill values like kindness, patience, and cooperation—important building blocks for a lifelong love of learning and faith.
Thank you, Mrs. Pollard and Mrs. O’Neil, for organizing such a wonderful day for our 4K students. We are grateful for the joy, creativity, and care you bring to your classroom each day. The Hunt for the Gingerbread Man is sure to be a memory these students will treasure!
